Architectural Maintenance

Extreme weather, heavy use and changing asset requirements can lead to the deterioration of doors, windows, and flooring in industrial environments, causing integrity and safety issues.

At Bilfinger Salamis UK, our maintenance services are tailored to the asset environment, across the marine and industrial sectors.

We supply, install, repair and maintain a full range of A, B and H Class fire-rated and acoustic doors and windows used in North Sea environments. We also supply a wide range of flooring contracting services from minor works to major contracts, including design and build projects.

Specialist Glass Reinforced Plastics

Our in-house design team engineer a range of innovative glass reinforced plastic (GRP) solutions in line with client requirements.

Due care and diligence are applied to ensure all designs consider accessibility, ease of installation, ergonomics, aesthetics and life cycle performance. Bilfinger Salamis UK recognise that GRP has many benefits over traditional sheet steel/sheet metal fabrication which are suited to use in offshore environments:

  • Chemical and corrosion resistant
  • Low maintenance
  • High strength (stronger than steel across span)
  • Light weight (weighs approximately 65% less than steel)
  • Impact resistance
  • Non-conductive
  • Lower life cycle cost
  • Flame Retardant laminated to give Class 2 surface spread of flame when tested to B.S 476 Part 7
  • Available in any colour
